Stephanie decided to skip school the next day because she had been working too hard on her upcoming Christmas event and needed a break. In reality, she felt too awkward to go to school because of Tyler. She had lost control of how to act around him and it infuriated her. It was not like she could do anything about it, so she just decided to take the easy way out. Running away by skipping school.

“Stephanie, you’ve got a letter,” her mother called downstairs and she ran to retrieve the letter from her mother. As expected, it was from her pen pal, and she felt blissful about talking to someone. She did not contact Olivia and Noah much, knowing that they were dating and needed their personal space. All she had was this anonymous writer.

Stephanie went upstairs to her bedroom and sat by the fireplace on the sofa to read the letter. This time it had her name written outside with a small heart on edge, which made her cheeks flush hot with blood. She opened the letter with a huge smile on her face, thanking that at least there was something to get her mind off of Tyler.
